Dunedin Blue Jays first baseman Aldo Gaxiola hit a 107.4 MPH solo home run Wednesday, Aug. 26. He became the first Florida State League player to homer in four consecutive games this season.

The 412-foot blast in the second inning put Dunedin on the board early, but the Blue Jays fell 7-1 to the Palm Beach Cardinals at TD Ballpark, according to the team's game recap. The defeat snapped a five-game winning streak in game two of a six-game series.

Gaxiola is the first Dunedin Blue Jay to homer in four straight games in the Class-A era. He is also the first Blue Jay at any level to accomplish the feat since Brad Glenn did it in 2011, according to the team.

Gaxiola has homered in five of his last seven games. His 16 home runs this season are tied for fifth in the FSL and tied for fourth in the Toronto Blue Jays farm system. In 16 August games, he is batting .357 with six homers, 16 RBI and a 1.163 OPS.

He is the first Blue Jay to reach 16 home runs in a season since Arjun Nimmala did it in 2024.

Omosako impresses in Class-A debut

Right-hander Sann Omosako, a São Paulo, Brazil native and 2024 Dominican Summer League All-Star, made his Class-A debut Wednesday. He struck out seven batters across four innings, allowing one unearned run on one hit with no walks.

Omosako retired the final 12 batters he faced in order. His seven strikeouts were the second most in any single game of his career.

Lasaracina adds power

Catcher Giaconino Lasaracina provided Dunedin's other run with a solo homer in the sixth inning, his eighth long ball with the club and 14th overall this season. Lasaracina has homered four times in his last five games and is batting .308 with five homers and 10 RBI across 11 August games.

The series against Palm Beach continues at TD Ballpark with four games remaining.
