Downtown Dunedin lines up art, music for Sept. 4–6

Studio 1212 Art Gallery's new exhibit preview is underway in downtown Dunedin, anchoring a weekend of art, live music and cooking classes across several venues through Sunday, Sept. 6.

The gallery at 234 Monroe St. opened its New Exhibit Preview Week on Wednesday, Sept. 2, with doors open at 11 a.m. daily, according to Patch's Dunedin events calendar. The preview continues through Saturday, Sept. 5, when the gallery hosts an opening reception at 1 p.m., a separate Patch listing confirmed. The name of the featured exhibit and its artists have not been announced publicly.

Caledonia Brewing at 587 Main St. has something lined up almost every night. Keys & Kegs Piano Sing-Along follows Friday, Sept. 4, at 7 p.m. On Sunday, Sept. 6, Boho Sideshow takes the stage at 2 p.m. and Yacht Rock Music Video Night closes the weekend at 7 p.m.

The Dunedin Fine Art Center (DFAC), at 1143 Michigan Blvd., hosts two cooking classes that week. Chef Tara Valle leads a Korean BBQ session Friday, Sept. 4, at 6 p.m. Chef Bryan Gallagher teaches Chicken Piccata Saturday, Sept. 5, at 6 p.m.

The Dunedin Downtown Market returns Saturday, Sept. 5, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Dunedin History Museum parking lot at 349 Main St. The market runs every Saturday through the end of October during its summer season.

Jade Soap Shop at 1597 Main St. offers a Whipped Body Butter DIY Workshop with tallow or vegan options. The workshop is listed for the Sept. 5–6 weekend at 10 a.m.; residents should check with the shop for the exact date.
