PHU JV volleyball beats East Lake 2-1, moves to 6-1

Palm Harbor University's junior varsity girls volleyball team beat East Lake 2-1 in a non-conference road match Thursday, Sept. 24, pushing the Hurricanes' record to 6-1.

PHU entered at 5-1 after a 2-0 win over Largo on Tuesday, Sept. 22. East Lake carried an 8-4 record into the contest, coming off a 2-0 non-conference victory over Shorecrest Prep of St. Petersburg, according to MaxPreps.

The Eagles dropped to 8-5 with the loss.

The two teams were scheduled to meet again Friday, Sept. 25, at 5 p.m. in the Bay Area Showcase tournament. The result of that match was not available as of Sept. 28.
