Local artisan vendors, holiday cocktails and a golf cart parade led by Santa will take over the Fenway Hotel waterfront Saturday, July 18, when the historic property hosts its free Christmas in July celebration from 4 to 9 p.m.
The event at 453 Edgewater Drive features local vendors, live music and handcrafted cocktails on the grounds of the 1924 Jazz Age landmark, which Mainsail Lodging & Development reopened in 2018 after a full renovation. The Fenway Hotel describes the evening as a "community-centered" tradition on its event page.
The parade has previously drawn as many as 290 registered golf carts, according to a Dunedin Pride Week social media post, though the specific year isn't noted. This year's parade begins around 7:30 p.m. and wraps by 8 p.m., according to the hotel's event listing, with participants returning to the Fenway for an awards ceremony. Santa leads the procession.
The hotel is also collecting boxes of cereal for a food drive benefiting Hope Villages of America. On its event page, the Fenway framed the drive as a community give-back, noting that "hunger doesn't take a summer vacation."
Admission is free and open to the public, though the hotel requests an RSVP through its website. Valet parking is available behind the hotel for $10, and rideshare is encouraged. The contact number for event details is 727-683-5980.
The Dunedin Downtown Market also runs Saturday, July 18, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Pioneer Park, 420 Main St., giving visitors a full day of local shopping downtown.
Golf cart parade entry details and the RSVP link are available at fenwayhotel.com.
