Three players who suited up at TD Ballpark as members of the Dunedin Blue Jays are headed to new organizations after the Aug. 3 MLB trade deadline reshaped their careers.

Shortstop Arjun Nimmala and outfielder Eddie Micheletti Jr. were traded to the Los Angeles Angels, while left-handed pitcher Adam Macko went to the Texas Rangers. All three moved in separate deals made by the Toronto Blue Jays, the parent club of Dunedin's Single-A affiliate.

The Dunedin Blue Jays wished the trio well on X on Aug. 3, saying the players are beginning the next chapter with their new organizations. The post drew more than 8,500 impressions from fans who watched the players develop locally.

Nimmala, 20, is the headliner.

A former first-round pick (20th overall in 2023), he played 90 games for Dunedin in 2024, hitting .232 with 17 home runs. He was batting .279 at Double-A before the trade. Baseball America ranks him the 39th-best prospect in baseball. He and Micheletti were packaged with pitcher Ángel Rivero and sent to the Angels in exchange for right-hander José Soriano, according to Sports Illustrated.

Micheletti, 24, a left-handed corner outfielder drafted in the eighth round out of Virginia Tech in 2024, played 20 games for Dunedin that summer, batting .292. He climbed to Double-A New Hampshire this season, hitting .251 with 14 home runs in 93 games before being assigned to the Angels' Double-A Rocket City Trash Pandas.

Macko, 25, made history on May 18 as the first Slovak-born player to appear in a major league game. He pitched 22 innings for Toronto this season, striking out 23 batters with a 4.91 ERA, before being traded to the Rangers for infielder Josh Smith and minor-league pitcher Josh Stephan. Macko had a brief stint with the Dunedin club in 2024 during a rehab assignment.

Nimmala's assignment within the Angels' minor league system has not been announced. Micheletti reports to Rocket City in Madison, Alabama. Macko's placement within the Rangers' organization has not been confirmed.
