JoJo Parker ripped a two-run double at 107.5 mph on Aug. 5, extending his extra-base hit streak to five consecutive games and helping the Dunedin Blue Jays cruise to a 10-0 shutout at TD Ballpark.

The Toronto Blue Jays' No. 1 prospect now has an extra-base hit and at least one RBI in each of his last five games. The team posted the highlight to its social accounts, calling Parker "blistering hot at the plate."

Parker's scorching stretch is the latest chapter in a breakout first professional season for the eighth overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft. The Mississippi high school product is ranked 28th on MLB Pipeline's prospect list, the highest preseason ranking for a Blue Jays position-player prospect since Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette in 2019, according to Sports Illustrated.

How the Aug. 5 blowout unfolded

The Aug. 5 blowout didn't start that way. Dunedin fell behind by three runs early before Owen Carapellotti smoked an RBI single in the third inning to tie the game and spark the comeback.

From there, the offense piled on.

Giaconino Lasaracina, known to teammates as Nino, capped the scoring with a two-run home run in the seventh inning, pushing the lead to 10-0 and putting the game well out of reach. The team posted the blast to X, writing that Lasaracina "demolishes a two-run blast in the 7th."

Parker's power surge extends beyond one game

Parker's power surge at TD Ballpark has been building all week. On Aug. 1, he launched a 114.2 mph home run that the team called the second-hardest-hit homer by a Dunedin Blue Jay in the Statcast era. As of a July 29 MiLB.com recap, Parker led the club with 11 home runs and 56 RBIs on the season. Those numbers have only climbed since.

The 19-year-old shortstop also represented the organization at the MLB All-Star Futures Game on July 12, where he hit an RBI double off the wall.
