JoJo Parker slugged three home runs and drove in nine runs over four games last week, earning the 19-year-old shortstop the Dunedin Refrigeration Ice Cold Performance of the Week honor.

The Dunedin Blue Jays announced the award Monday, Aug. 3, capping a stretch in which the Toronto Blue Jays' top prospect torched St. Lucie Mets pitching at TD Ballpark.

Parker's week started with the first multi-homer game of his professional career on Wednesday, July 29, when he launched two-run blasts in each of the first two innings of a 14-9 win. He added a game-tying two-run single Thursday, July 30, then uncorked a 114.2 mph home run Saturday, Aug. 1. The team called that shot the second-hardest hit home run by a Dunedin Blue Jay in the Statcast era.

The weekly award, sponsored by local business Dunedin Refrigeration, recognizes the team's top performer each week. Parker, drafted eighth overall by Toronto in the 2025 MLB Draft out of high school, leads the Dunedin roster in home runs and RBI this season. He represented the Blue Jays at the MLB All-Star Futures Game in Philadelphia on July 12, hitting an RBI double in the American League's 6-1 victory.

Manager Ryan Casteel told The Athletic on July 21 that Parker's hitting ability reminds him of two-time All-Star Trevor Story. "JoJo is a way better hitter, I think," Casteel said. "He has a way better eye, controls the zone better, way less whiff than Story did at that age."

The Sunday, Aug. 2, series finale against St. Lucie was canceled due to weather and will not be made up. Fans holding paid tickets from that game may exchange them for any future 2026 home date.

The Blue Jays travel to Lakeland for a six-game series Tuesday, Aug. 4, through Sunday, Aug. 9. Their next home stand begins Tuesday, Aug. 25, against the Palm Beach Cardinals and runs through Sunday, Aug. 30.
