Palm Harbor University's varsity girls volleyball team went 3-2 at the Battle at the Beach tournament at Venice High School, according to MaxPreps.

The Hurricanes opened with a 2-1 win over Westminster Christian on Friday, Sept. 18, before falling to Beachside 0-2 later that day.

PHU won two of three matches on Saturday, Sept. 19, sweeping Weeki Wachee 2-0 and edging host Venice 2-1. The weekend ended with a 2-0 loss to Trinity Catholic.

The results pushed PHU's overall record to 12-3 on the 2026-27 season. The Hurricanes have won 34 sets and dropped nine through 15 matches. MaxPreps ranks the team No. 38 in Florida as of Monday, Sept. 21.

PHU competes in Class 6A District 9, where district play has not yet begun. The team carries a 6-1 home record, a 4-0 mark on the road and a 2-2 record at neutral sites.

The Hurricanes' next match is Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 7:30 p.m. at home against Largo.
