Republican Chris Nocco won the special election for Florida Senate District 21, defeating Democrat Jordan Hensley, according to the Florida Department of State’s unofficial election-night results.

Florida Election Watch lists Nocco with 129,015 votes (57.70%) and Hensley with 94,570 (42.30%) across Pasco and Pinellas counties. The latest figures available on Wednesday, Nov. 4, are unofficial; the results must go through canvassing and certification. The state results page does not show a precinct-reporting percentage in its current contest summary.

The district includes parts of Pasco and northern Pinellas counties, including Palm Harbor. Nocco served as Pasco County sheriff for 15 years before winning the Senate seat. He will fill the remainder of former Sen. Ed Hooper’s term and must run again in 2028.
