Dunedin Brewery's 26th annual Oktobeerfest kicks off Oct. 1 with four days of live music, German food and festival beers in downtown Dunedin. Admission is free.

The celebration runs through Oct. 4 at 937 Douglas Ave. A city of Dunedin ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 4 p.m. Tuesday ahead of the opening, MusicFestNews reported.

Owner-picked lineup spans indoor and outdoor stages

Proprietor Mike Bryant selected the music lineup, which spreads across two main stages, the Pub and the Moon Tower, with an additional set in the Beer Garden. Performances take place in both indoor and outdoor spaces.

Opening night Oct. 1 starts at 7 p.m. with Dale's Epic Trivia on the Moon Tower stage and No Standards at 8 p.m. in the Pub.

Oct. 2 brings Light the Wire at 7 p.m. at the Moon Tower and Sauce Pocket at 9 p.m. on the Pub stage.

Saturday packs the festival's biggest lineup

Oct. 3 is the biggest day. Mr. Whiskers & the Nine Lives open at 4 p.m. outside at the Moon Tower, followed by Legacy Orchestra Collective at 6 p.m. in the Pub.

The Brock Butler Band, a project from Perpetual Groove frontman Brock Butler, takes the Moon Tower at 8 p.m. Road to Nowhere closes the night at 10:30 p.m. back inside, playing Talking Heads' "Stop Making Sense."

The weekend wraps up Oct. 4 with Joe Marcinek and Vinny Svoboda's Upright Acoustic Consortium at 2 p.m. in the Beer Garden and Captain's Lounge at 4 p.m. on the Moon Tower stage.

A fall tradition at Florida's oldest microbrewery

Dunedin Brewery calls itself Florida's oldest distributing microbrewery still in operation. Its Oktobeerfest pairs seasonal brews with German-style fare.
