Downtown Dunedin's Main Street corridor has eight free or low-cost events lined up between Saturday, July 25, and Sunday, July 26, giving families, art lovers and craft-beer fans plenty of reasons to walk the strip.

Saturday highlights

The Dunedin Downtown Market opens at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 25, in the Dunedin History Museum parking lot at 349 Main St. The weekly market features local vendors selling fresh produce, baked goods, artisan foods, raw honey and lunch bites. Live music accompanies each market day, and the event is family- and dog-friendly. The market runs every Saturday through November.

Celtic and folk band Drunken Shrubbery plays a matinee set at Caledonia Brewing, 587 Main St., from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 25, according to the Tampa Bay Beacons events calendar. The brewery occupies the old Dunedin Times Building, built in 1925 and home to a longtime local newspaper until 1965.

Live music continues Saturday evening at The Dunedin Smokehouse, 471 Main St., at 7 p.m., though no performer has been announced.

Studio 1212 Art Gallery, 234 Monroe St., holds a fine art sale starting at 11 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday.

Sunday highlights

Nature's Food Patch demo specialist Dianna leads a free cooking class for children in kindergarten through fifth grade at 966 Douglas Ave. on Sunday, July 26, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Kids will learn to make granola bars and slushies. All recipes are nut-free, soy-free, dairy-free and gluten-free, according to the city of Dunedin's events page. Seating is limited, and organizers advise arriving early. A parent or guardian must attend.

A Paint & Sip session is listed at Caledonia Brewing at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 26. Additional details such as cost and registration have not been posted.

Jade Soap Shop, 1597 Main St., hosts a Cold Process Soap Workshop 101 for beginners at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, July 26, according to the shop's Instagram page.
